Engineering Degrees & Courses offered by universities in India

Given below is List of Engineering Branches which are popular among studentsapplying for B.Tech and B.E in different engineering colleges of India. We have collected information for each of these courses. You can read colleges, courses, universities and career prospects for each of these engineering course. Deciding upon the right engineering stream is quite tricky for both students and their parents. Most of us go through the same dilemma after clearing different entrance exams.

To be eligible for a diploma in engineering, one must clear the 10th Std. board exam successfully. Admission is based on marks scored in Std. X board exam. To be eligible for bachelor’s degree course, one must clear the 12th std. board exam successfully in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. There will be combined entrance exam for admission into engineering, colleges in IIT’s, NIT’s and other states. Admission will also take in account marks scored in 12th Std. exam, particularly in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. In service Diploma holders can also get graduate degree in engineering through distance learning.

Engineering is the discipline, art, and profession that applies scientific theory to design, develop, and analyze technological solutions. In the contemporary era, it is generally considered to consist of the major basic branches of chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and geological engineering.

Deciding upon the right engineering stream is quite tricky for both students and their parents. Most of us go through the same dilemma after clearing different entrance exams. There are numerous other engineering sub-disciplines and interdisciplinary subjects that are derived from concentrations, combinations, or extensions of the major engineering branches.
